If you haven’t watch my video on the failure cycle, then please watch it. I’ve been discussing failure, particularly how we can get stuck in a cycle. If we stay in that cycle, then over time, we become entrenched in a set of beliefs concerning ourselves. The sad part is that we will allow our belief from our experience of failing to filter our perception of others and how we respond and react in life.
If you want to do something better this year, you’re going to have to break away from the mediocre.
However, being mediocre is easy. There is no risk, no one will put you down, and you won’t fail. This is what doing nothing produces: no failure. If you want to know if you’re actually doing anything in life, then ask yourself, “Where am I failing?”
You, however, are NOT a failure! Please, learn from your failure. Do not get stuck in the failure cycle.
If you’re stuck in a failure cycle, get out by learning! Do not view it as a road block or a door shut, but an opportunity to learn.  Ask yourself, “What can I learn from this?” “What do I need to change for the future?” “What is God trying to teach me?”
Make mistakes. Only make them once, but please, fail at something. However, have the attitude that you CAN get better by learning. Stop allowing your failures to define you!
